"On November 10, 2020, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia signed a statement on the cessation of military operations and the implementation of several measures to ensure and strengthen the peace process. With this statement, Armenia capitulated, while Russia also made certain commitments regarding the peacekeeping mission. However, while Azerbaijan fulfills its responsibilities today, Armenia does not implement its obligations by relying on its patrons. Armenia does not adhere to the articles of the November 10 and January 11 statements and behaves as a revanchist side," said MP Sadagat Valiyeva, Report informs.
According to her, President Ilham Aliyev's interview with CNN Turk was a serious warning to Armenia and its patrons: "Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani lands for 30 years eventually resulted in its capitulation. After the 44-day war, revanchist intentions ended with the capture of more than 60 Armenian terrorists. Armenia must understand that no matter how much Azerbaijan is a supporter of peace, it is ready for war and the prevention of provocations. The information provided by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with CNN Turk about Armenia's provocative steps and the processes taking place in Karabakh also proved the high level of Azerbaijan's control over the region. Armenia must understand that Azerbaijan monitors all crossings and territories. It observes the movements of both Armenian and Russian peacekeepers, as well as vehicles from Iran, and has detailed information about their activities. Therefore, Armenia should think about the peace agreement proposed by Azerbaijan, not provocations."
"In an interview with CNN Turk, President Ilham Aliyev once again demonstrated Azerbaijan's commitment to peace, cooperation, and partnership," the MP noted, adding that the Azerbaijani president offers peace to Armenia with great diplomatic courtesy and humanism:
"In fact, Azerbaijan, as a victorious state, can use different ways to force Armenia to make peace. Azerbaijan has had the opportunity several times to show its 'Iron Fist' again. But Azerbaijan is patient and takes steps as a pragmatic state. Despite the provocations of the enemy and its supporters, it shows the intention to the whole world for peace and cooperation. Of course, Armenia should also use this opportunity because Azerbaijan's peace proposal will not stay on the table forever. Armenia and its supporters also know that the thesis that there is 'no military solution' to the Karabakh issue does not work. Azerbaijan has already proved it. In short, Azerbaijan, as a victorious state, has extended a hand of peace. Armenia already has a choice. If the Armenian leadership holds the hand of peace in Azerbaijan, stability will come to the region. No, if it engages in provocations again, then the 'Iron Fist' will work."
