Baku to blacklist French city mayor

Head of the Press Service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva expressed her attitude to the illegal visit of the French National Assembly member Francois Pupponi to Azerbaijan's Khankandi.

Report informs that, according to the Foreign Ministry official, it is not the first time the French MP is paying an illegal visit to Azerbaijan.

"He is known for his strong anti-Azerbaijani position. For violating the Azerbaijani laws, the MP is on the list of foreign nationals banned from entering our country. The ban on entry to Azerbaijan will also be applied to the mayor of the French city of Arnuvil and a representative of the Sarcelles city who accompanied the French National Assembly member during this illegal trip. This irresponsibility and provocative behavior of the French representatives are inadmissible and undermine efforts to build peace in the region in the post-war period," Abdullayeva said.
