The Embassy of Pakistan in Azerbaijan has organized an exhibition on Kashmir Solidarity Day in Baku.
Report informs that the exhibition's opening ceremony was attended by Pakistan's Ambassador Bilal Hayee. Every year on February 5, Pakistan marks the Day of Solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The ambassador thanked the government of Azerbaijan for supporting Pakistan's cause in the issues of Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed the importance of this day for Pakistani people, as they commemorate those who suffered, were subjected to violence, or were arrested.
Bilal Hayee noted with regret that the world community makes loud statements but does not take any active steps to resolve this issue. He added that the UN resolutions remain on paper, though Pakistan is always ready to start their implementation.
The story of Jammu and Kashmir is full of pain and sorrow, the ambassador added. He further presented to visitors the exhibition of photos featuring the consequences of the occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
