The statement by US President Joe Biden, who called the events of 1915 "genocide", will worsen tremendously the bilateral partnership between Washington and Ankara, US political scientist, an expert in international relations Peter Tase told Report.
"This statement in favor of Armenian diaspora groups in United States and in support of Armenian fascist regime in Yerevan is testimony to the deeply rooted misinformation campaign that has taken place worldwide, orchestrated by Armenian regime at home and abroad, in reference to the so called "Armenian Genocide". President Biden is drenched by Armenian propaganda and has seriously harmed the defense partnership between the United States and the Republic of Turkey", - P.Tase said.
“President Biden appears to ignore the military cooperation and legacy that has existed between both countries, especially during the Korea War (1950-1053) a time when the Turkish Brigade fought side by side with the American Soldiers. The recent political statement made on April 24th, in favor of Armenian Diaspora and officially recognizing the "Armenian Genocide" is worse than taking down the Statue of President Ulysses S. Grant in front of US Capitol and replacing his statue with that of Garegin Ter-Harutyunyan (Nzhdeh), a renowned Armenian Nazi Collaborator and terrorist. The President's decision will cause a major fissure and break apart the defense cooperation framework under the leadership of North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels”, - the expert added.
