George Deek: For the first time, there will be an Azerbaijani flag waving in Israel

"Today is a historic day. Since the relations between our countries have established almost thirty years ago, Azerbaijan did not have any representation in Israel," Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek said on Twitter, Report informs.

"And now this has changed. Today Azerbaijan opened a trade representative office in Tel Aviv, and for the first time, there will be an Azerbaijani flag waving in Israel. This will create opportunities for our relations to become stronger and more diverse, bringing our countries and peoples closer together. I believe this is another step towards the opening of an embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel, " the diplomat added.

He reminded that next year marks 30 years of diplomatic relations and friendship between the two countries.

"Inshallah, we will all celebrate it together in Azerbaijan and in Israel," he said.
