Baku Forum helps to discuss current global issues. Thanks for the message about peace and reconciliation, Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said at the next panel meeting on the topic 'Building a renewed global health architecture: promoting, providing, protecting, powering and performing for health' within the framework of the 10th Global Baku Forum, Report informs.
According to him, despite the availability of a vaccine against COVID-19, in some countries, only 1 in 4 people have access to it: "If we don't vaccinate and care about everyone equally, it will be a stain on our conscience. Therefore, we must find better ways to provide funding in this direction. This is the only correct approach to prepare for the next challenge."
Brown emphasized that the world is facing the problem of a lack of energy resources and food security after Russia's aggression against Ukraine: "Countries spend more money on debt repayment than healthcare, but it is necessary to fight the consequences of the pandemic."
