Hikmat Hajiyev: Azerbaijan and Israel enjoy strong friendly relations

Azerbaijan and Israel have strong friendship ties and enjoy strategic partnership, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration said in an interview with the Israeli international TV channel i24NEWS, Report informs.

In addition, cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically, he said.

The opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel brought cooperation to a new level, he noted.

“Indeed, in bilateral relations, high-level visits are crucially important, and we are also pleased that the incumbent prime minister in his previous capacity and Israel’s president and also cabinet ministers are regularly visiting Azerbaijan.

As such, Azerbaijan’s cabinet ministers and high officials are also regularly visiting Israel. Such a dynamism between cabinets of two countries and high-level official visits are important component of Israel and Azerbaijan cooperation,” he noted.

“We are also particularly pleased that President Herzog was here, visited to Azerbaijan and his visit also coincided with the national day in Azerbaijan and we very much appreciate this.”
