Hikmet Hajiyev: Azerbaijan ready to host Russian-Ukrainian meeting

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are making efforts to end the war in Ukraine. In particular, holding a meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia and Ukraine at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum was a very positive step and a great contribution to peace on the part of fraternal Turkey. Azerbaijan welcomes this, and the international community highly appreciates it, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said, the Turkish bureau of Report informs.

“Azerbaijan has also received such a proposal from Ukraine. If there are such intentions, we are always ready to host such a meeting. Earlier, meetings of high-ranking officials of the US and Russia, as well as NATO-Russia negotiations were held in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is not a member of NATO, nor a member of the CSTO. Azerbaijan is the chair country of the Non-Aligned Movement. In this regard, we believe that each of the parties can feel comfortable.”
