Azerbaijan and Israel have exemplary relations, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Israel's independence in Baku, Report informs.
Herzog noted that on May 28 Azerbaijan celebrated the 105th anniversary of independence, and today Israel celebrates the 75th anniversary of its independence.
"I believe that this is not a coincidence, our countries are very close. Excellent relations between our countries are based not only on common interests, but, above all, on common values," he said.
According to him, relations between the two countries are an example for many: "I would like to recall that the alliance between our countries against aggression, hatred, extremism and fundamentalism, as well as for the benefit of peace, democracy and coexistence, not only in the Middle East and Eurasia, but also throughout the world - can and should serve as a model of partnership between states and nations.”
