Italian MP: We intend to diversify relations with Azerbaijan

"The friendship between us, its signs have been especially manifested in recent years. As for the visits between our countries, they were organized at a very high level. The President of the Italian Republic's official visit to your country was a significant step in developing our relations," the Vice-President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Ettore Rosato said at a meeting with Ilham Aliyev.

"We also view your state visit to Rome as an event of strategic importance. As your friends, we also know that many agreements, particularly an important document on strategic partnership, were signed during the visit. In fact, these are the agreements that reflect very specific obligations and vital essence.

"Azerbaijan is the first exporter of energy to Italy. We can entrust energy security to a country that has amicable relations with us in such turbulent times. We want to strengthen this friendship and diversify our relations," he added.
