Russia is closely following the situation on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border and assisting Baku and Yerevan in reducing tensions through regular contacts at the highest and high levels, reads the statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, published on its official website, Report informs.
Operational communications are maintained through the military and border services of the two countries, according to the ministry.
“We confirm the need for strict adherence to the ceasefire regime, as well as the strict implementation of other provisions of the statement by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021,” the ministry noted.
Russia is ready to continue in every possible way to promote the consistent normalization of the situation in the South Caucasus, reads the statement.
