Minister: Italian companies actively involved in restoration of liberated Azerbaijani territories

Azerbaijan is Italy’s biggest trading partner in the South Caucasus, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said, Report informs.

The minister noted that the historical friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries have reached the highest level in all areas.

“Italy is one of the main trading partners of Azerbaijan. Last year, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $15.6 billion. Particularly noteworthy is the effective participation of Italian companies in the restoration of the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation. Also, the chairmanship of our countries in the G7 and COP29 opens up new opportunities for cooperation,” the minister emphasized.
