Political scientist: Azerbaijan-Italy co-op continuously developing

Cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan has been experiencing continuous growth for years, geopolitical analyst and Italian journalist Domenico Letizia told Report.

“The Italian institutions have also become aware of Azerbaijan’s will to rebuild the territory of Karabakh according to the most innovative, modern and sustainable contemporary infrastructures,” he said.

“In terms of energy, much has been done and much needs to be done. For many energy analysts, the future also lies in the energy cooperation of green hydrogen. Thanks to the operational infrastructure of the TAP gas pipeline, the same infrastructure can also be used for the transport of green hydrogen. These opportunities, accompanied by innovation technology of nanotechnologies will give a great boost to Azerbaijan’s economic growth,” he added.

On April 3, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Edmondo Cirielli. During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for the development of Azerbaijani-Italian relations.
