President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to his Uzbek counterpart on the successful holding of elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Supreme Assembly) of Uzbekistan, Report informs via AZERTAC.
“These elections, held based on the mixed electoral system for the first time in the history of brotherly Uzbekistan, once again clearly demonstrated your country's commitment to the principles of democratic state-building.
The election outcomes are a manifestation of your people's trust and confidence in your resolute political course, and an expression of their real support for your services aimed at further developing and strengthening Uzbekistan,” the head of state said in his message.
“I wish the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, which will start operating with its new composition, success in its activities.
I avail myself of this opportunity to once again convey my sincere congratulations to you, and wish you robust health, happiness, and success and achievements in your high state activity for the well-being and prosperity of the fraternal people of Uzbekistan,” President Ilham Aliyev added.
