"I am delighted to meet you and get to know you personally," Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Istanbul on November 12.
Report informs that, according to him, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are brotherly countries:
"Kyrgyzstan is always happy with the successes and achievements of the brotherly Azerbaijani people. Thanks to your wise policy, Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened its international position in the world arena. Relations between our countries are based on strong ties of friendship and brotherhood arising from the common history, culture, language, spiritual and religious values. The foundation of modern interstate relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan was laid by a prominent international figure, your father Heydar Aliyev. Kyrgyz people respect the memory of Heydar Aliyev and appreciate his historical contribution to strengthening centuries-old friendship between our countries.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for providing us with 40,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. While Azerbaijan itself is not a manufacturer of vaccines, it has made a valuable gesture using its own stocks. I consider all this a manifestation of friendship and brotherhood. Thank you again for your help."
