Sec.-Gen.: All conditions created for SCO mission to monitor elections in Azerbaijan

All conditions have been created for the SCO mission to observe the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Zhang Ming said at a press conference following the observation of the elections, Report informs.

“We made all the conclusions based on the results of monitoring polling stations by our observers. The mission notes that all necessary conditions were created for the free expression of the will of voters in accordance with international rules,” Zhang Ming noted.

He added that on election day, the SCO observation mission visited about 60 polling stations in Baku and Sumgait.

The SCO mission was given complete freedom to choose a polling station for observation: “Our observers chose the polling station on their own. There was no outside pressure on us.”
