A meeting of the UN Security Council will be held today at the initiative of France, The situation on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border will be discussed at the meeting. The last time such a meeting was held 27 years ago," Farid Shafiyev, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), said during the presentation ceremony of the book by Turkish Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, "Turkiye as a Stabilizing Power in an Age of Turmoil", which was translated into Azerbaijani and published with the support of the AIR Center.
"No matter how many times we applied to hold such a meeting, the answer was that the OSCE Minsk group is dealing with this matter. France is distraught. We know why. These events show that, as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, 'the world is bigger than 5.' I should also mention that the UN Security Council had four resolutions regarding the occupation of Azerbaijani lands. However, those resolutions were not implemented by this institution. Finally, Azerbaijan won the victory in the 44-day Patriotic War and implemented the UN resolutions by itself," Shafiyev said.
