Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan releases statement 

"Turkey is the first country to recognize the brotherly Republic of Azerbaijan in the international arena after regaining its independence. As a result of the "Agreement on the re-establishment of Diplomatic Relations" signed by Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, which was opened on January 14, 1992, became the first diplomatic mission in Baku," the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan said in a statement.

According to the statement, throughout history, Azerbaijan was the first country to help the Republic of Turkey under challenging times, and Turkey supported Azerbaijan in the difficult days: "In the international arena, we rejoice together for the success of our countries, and we express its sorrow is our sorrow."
