UN resident coordinator: Azerbaijan achieved great success in 30 years

For 30 years, Azerbaijan has achieved great success in the economic sphere, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva said during the opening of a photo exhibition in Baku dedicated to the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN, Report informs.

This is especially important given that 30 years ago Azerbaijan was a young state, she said.

Andreeva noted that Azerbaijan has also done a lot at the international level within the principles of the organization and continues to do so.

The resident coordinator also highlighted the role of Azerbaijan in the fight against the pandemic. She added that the country not only helped its population, but also provided assistance to other countries in the international arena.

While chairing the Non-Aligned Movement, Azerbaijan also put forward a number of initiatives to combat the coronavirus pandemic, she noted.
