A London-based scientist Andrew Steele has revealed his top seven habits to be incorporated into everyday life to help boost longevity, Report informs referring to Express.
The London-based author explained that interventions such as eating a healthy diet, avoiding smoking, and getting moderate exercise can all slow down the aging process and prevent different diseases.
According to Steele, habits to boost longevity include exercising, but not too much, getting the right amount of sleep, avoiding supplements, eating more vegetables and less meat, ensuring blood pressure and resting heart rate are in the normal range, operating good oral health and avoiding fad diets.
Regarding exercise, Steele said: “If you literally don't do any exercise at all, even going for a 10-minute walk every day is going to dramatically improve your health.”
However, when it comes to lengthy sweat sessions, he said the benefits of working out seem to plateau beyond an average of 30 minutes a day.
