Azerbaijan confirms 36 new COVID-19 cases, vaccinates 230 people in one day

Azerbaijan has recorded 36 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 32 people recovered from the infection, and one patient died.

Overall, the country has reported 828,906 cases of infection, 818,548 recoveries, and 10,143 deaths. At present, 215 people are receiving treatment.

Over the past day, 1,519 tests were performed to identify new infections, and a total of 7,540,198 tests have been performed since the start of the pandemic.

At the same time, 230 people received their anti-coronavirus shots in Azerbaijan today.

The number of people who got their first jab was 79 today, while 61 people got their second dose of the vaccine. As many as 77 people got immunized with the third or further doses of a COVID vaccine. The number of those vaccinated with a booster dose after a positive result has reached 13.

To date, 13,951,282 coronavirus vaccine jabs have been administered to the population in Azerbaijan.
