Azerbaijan eyes to abolish diplomas of doctors issuing fake Covid certificates

There are reports on the social network that citizens obtain fake COVID-19 certificates in different ways. Such cases lead to rising morbidity and wasting the budget funds allocated by the state to this area. How can we refrain citizens from getting fake covid certificates? Which measures should be taken to prevent such cases?

Deputy Chairman of the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis, MP Rashad Mahmudov, told Report that the issuance of fake coronavirus passports is the biggest blow to the fight against the pandemic in Azerbaijan.

He believes that medical workers who issue fake vaccination passports must be strictly punished: At best, we should raise the issue of abolishing the diplomas of those medical workers."

He stressed that the vaccination process in Azerbaijan is more satisfactory and commendable than other countries: "But it is still much lower than the cost of vaccination, which envisages the full immunization of at least 75% of the population. If we do not consider the figures for the third dose, the situation will change for the better after the use of 15 million vaccines in our country. "
