Azerbaijan reveals number of healthcare staff involved in fighting pandemic

To date, 43,551 medical personnel, 574 volunteers, and 380 foreign specialists have been involved in the fight against the pandemic in Azerbaijan.

Report informs that the statement came from Yagut Garayeva, head of the Department of Disease Control and Prevention, who spoke at an international conference on "COVID-19: Early and Late Complications" in Baku.

She also spoke about the doctors' merits in the 44-day war: "During the war, the wounded were served by 10,000 medical staff, 1,300 volunteers, 100 invited specialists from abroad."
