COVID-19 death and recovery rate in Azerbaijan

"Today, the number of coronavirus patients in Azerbaijan has exceeded 300,000, while recovery rate is 92.3 percent and the death rate is 1.4 percent. We have a low mortality rate on a global scale. However, we should not calm down and continue our preventive measures," head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Azerbaijan Medical University Jalal Isayev said.

Isayev called on everyone to be careful in the fight against coronavirus: "If someone feels the slightest sign of the virus, he/she must be examined. A person who tested positive for coronavirus must be isolated from society. Our state started the immunization process three months ago. Still, 3.78% of the population has been vaccinated so far. In other words, they got both doses. Though this is not a small number on the world scale, it does not satisfy us. Our way out is to vaccinate the population. In this regard, students should also expand propaganda in their immediate circle."
