France develops virus-killing protective mask against COVID-19

French company BioSerenity has created a protective mask that destroys coronavirus, Report informs, citing BFMTV.

According to the company's CEO, Marc Frouin, the mask can "block viruses."

The personal protective equipment consists of four layers. One of them has bactericidal and antiviral properties. The mask is for single-use, so it is recommended to wear it for a maximum of four hours.

"The mask can block and destroy viruses," a company spokesman told the channel.

The company also added that the mask is capable of self-disinfection and thus less dangerous when exposed to the environment.

The particular shielding material was developed in collaboration with experts from the National Institute of Health and Medical Research of the University of Lille Hospital and the National Research Center. It costs 1.49 euros.
