"Azerbaijan has set a limit of 300 transactions per year in the Compulsory Health Insurance Services Envelope. This is one of the limited services provided by the State Agency for Health Insurance in the country," said Sabina Guliyeva, head of the technical rules department of the medical examination of the State Agency, Report informs.
According to her, the limits are related to the placement of both cochlear and intra-articular implants: "Intra-articular implants include the hip and knee joints. It is planned to increase the number of limits for these services for future periods."
The head of the department said that proposals were sent to the government to increase the list of benefits related to the Service Envelope: "Currently, the package includes 2,550 services, and we plan to add 300 more to the new list. No benefit will be removed from the envelope; only certain classification codes can be changed."
