Antibodies in severe coronavirus cases may be poorly produced due to the prescription of certain drugs, Russian professor, infectious diseases specialist Nikolai Malyshev said,
"Now we sometimes observe that a person is seriously ill, and his antibodies are not very high. It is usually associated with treatment. The first time we encountered this was during the observation of patients after the swine flu," Malyshev said.
The professor explained that those on antiviral drugs may develop significantly fewer protective antibodies.
