Azerbaijani Minister of Health Teymur Musayev has commented on the statements of the Armenian delegation during his speech at the 75th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA), Report informs referring to the Ministry of Health.
Speaking during the general debate held within the 75th session of the WHA, the minister of health of Azerbaijan, first of all, congratulated Tedros Ghebreyesus on his re-election to the post of director-general of the World Health Organization and noted that Azerbaijan constantly supports the activities of the organization.
The minister then spoke about the challenges arising from the pandemic, including the importance of international cooperation in building strong, resilient health systems. In this context, the minister spoke about the important processes carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of healthcare.
Musayev noted that the Azerbaijani government is ready to ensure the rights to health of all ethnic groups living in the country, including Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian origin. With this in mind, the minister stressed that it is unacceptable for the Armenian delegation to use the opportunity of the international health platform to make unfounded and provocative statements. Musayev called instead to contribute to the peace process launched between the two countries.
