In May 2023, Azerbaijan ranked 116th among 181 countries for fixed broadband Internet speed with an average download speed of 29.14 Mbps.
Report informs, citing the Speedtest Global Index, that this shows no change compared to April.
In terms of fixed broadband internet speeds, Singapore ranked first (241.35 MB/s) and Cuba ranked last (1.93 MB/s).
Last month, Azerbaijan rose three notches in terms of mobile internet speed, ranking 55th among 140 countries with a speed of 40.97 Mbps.
For the mobile internet speed, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranked first (181.79 MB/s) and Afghanistan finished last (4.3 MB/s).
Moreover, in May, the city of Baku rose two steps in terms of mobile Internet speed (43.08 MB/s), ranking 72nd among 172 cities. In terms of the speed of fixed broadband Internet, the capital of Azerbaijan has dropped by one step and ranked 137th (31.27 MB/s).
Among cities, the first place in terms of mobile Internet speed was taken by Dubai (UAE), with a download speed of 207.35 MB / s, and the last place was taken by Khartoum, Sudan, with 1.07 MB/s.
The ranking of cities on fixed broadband Internet includes 190 cities. The Chinese capital Beijing topped the list (268.09 MB/s), while Havana was the last in the ranking (1.83 MB/s).
