Today marks the first year of Jabrayil District’s liberation from the Armenian occupation.
In connection with the implementation of the decree of President Ilham Aliyev "On the organization of temporary special administration in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated October 29, 2020, the work for the restoration of infrastructure in the liberated territories, including radio and television broadcasting stations, continues.
A new 17-meter metal tower was put into operation in Kalbajar by the Radio-Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communications Public Union (TV and Radio) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies in connection with the restoration of radio and television broadcasting in the liberated territories. Thus, the broadcasting of eight TV channels and a radio station in Kalbajar city and 15 surrounding villages of the district were provided, the ministry told Report.
Note that the work has kicked off to restore the Shahyeri station in Shahyeri village of Hadrut settlement of Khojavand District. The station is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year. As a result of the commissioning of the station, radio and television broadcasting will be provided to Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil districts.
Simultaneously, the infrastructure of Gubadli station, which was completely destroyed and looted by Armenians during the occupation, is being reconstructed and the existing Minjivan station in the Zangilan district is being reconstructed.
Relevant equipment was installed at the Shusha Radio and Television Broadcasting Station, and on December 31, 2020, the relay of radio and television signals were restored in Shusha, Khankandi and Khojali, Agdam, Barda districts, as well as surrounding settlements.
In conformity with the "Action Program on the organization of communication services in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan", activities continue in other directions of the liberated territories.
