Azercosmos intends to improve laser communication

The Space Agency (Azercosmos) under the Digital Development and Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan intends to improve laser communication and build an optical network at its ground station, said Lala Hasanzade, a leading business analyst at Azercosmos, Report informs.

Lala Hasanzade believes that the rapid development of the space industry prompts the search for new opportunities:

“We are very involved in the search for new opportunities. Because the market is growing and for this, we must try to improve our organization. We want to build an optical network at our ground station to improve laser communication.

In our creative sector, young people have massive projects. This will be an outstanding contribution to our ground station. As I mentioned, our primary work is building an optical ground station.

This is a new market and we are exploring this opportunity and ready to upgrade our station in optical network settings.”
