In Azerbaijan, 60% of the entrepreneurs are interested in investing in new technologies, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said at a meeting with entrepreneurs.
Report informs, citing REAL TV, that, according to the minister, digital transformation should not be carried out only for the sake of digitalization but should be a mirror reflecting the difficulties and challenges faced by the country, that is, economic growth.
"Investments invested in digital transformation should serve to create added value, and added value should not be short-term, but long-term goals. When implementing digital transformation, the second important factor is ensuring inclusiveness and increasing competitiveness. And, as a result, the increase in the competitiveness of the economy will occur solely through innovation. We see innovation as a product that contributes to the creation of a new market."
Rashad Nabiyev noted that the period of the COVID-19 pandemic has become a lesson for entrepreneurs not only here, but all over the world, and they were forced to reconsider their business models.
"According to a recent survey conducted by PWC, approximately 60% of our entrepreneurs are interested in investing in new technologies, and that goes through digital transformation."
