Many of the cyber attacks against Azerbaijan are organized from neighboring countries, Tural Mammadov, Head of the Department of State Service of Special Communication and Information Security (SCSI), said, Report informs.
According to him, it is difficult to determine the IP from which countries the cyber attacks come from because they anonymize and falsify them: "Nevertheless, when looking at the format of those attacks and the attacked directions, at the same time, after conducting their in-depth analysis, it becomes clear that many of those attacks are organized from neighboring countries."
He said that according to the period of activity, the target of cyber attacks can be the websites of various state institutions: "During the 44-day war, the target of cyber attacks was the official page of the President and the website of the Ministry of Defense. We also recorded cyber attacks against critical infrastructure."
