US IT giants are seeing booming business as demand for online services takes off amid the pandemic. Google's parent company, Alphabet, and Microsoft both posted strong earnings for the January-to-March period, Report informs.
Alphabet announced on Tuesday that its sales jumped 34 percent year-on-year in the last quarter to 55.3 billion dollars. Net profit more than doubled to 17.9 billion dollars.
Microsoft saw its revenue grow 19 percent for the three-month period to 41.7 billion dollars.
Net income surged 44 percent to 15.5 billion dollars.
