"On the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, in connection with the fires in Turkey, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan provided two-stage assistance - with human strength and equipment," Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzoev told reporters.
Report's correspondent dispatched to Turkey said that, according to Mirzayev, the fires that occurred in the Denizli region were extinguished: "At the first stage, 100 personnel arrived from Azerbaijan by plane to Turkey, at the second stage, 54 units of machinery and 247 personnel arrived by land. Yesterday evening, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey sent the Azerbaijani firefighters from Denizli to the places of fires towards Buldan and Tavas. 180 firefighters and 50 units of fire trucks are involved in each of these directions. I followed in this direction from Mersin. After 2 hours, we arrived at the scene, and work began to extinguish the fire. We can say that one of the fires was contained at about 02:30. The other was extinguished this morning. According to my instructions, the equipment and personnel located there are already moving in the direction of Mugla."
