The Binagadi District Court in Baku has extended the arrest of the so-called "leaders" of the former Armenian separatist regime, who were detained by Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies in Karabakh.
Report informs citing the press service of the Prosecutor General's office that among those whose arrests were prolonged are the so-called "presidents" of the separatist regime, Bako Saakyan and Arayik Harutyunyan, as well as the former "foreign minister" David Babayan, "parliament speaker" David Ishkhanyan, and General David Manukyan. The court granted the request of the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General's Office and the presentation of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan to extend their detention.
The Prosecutor General's Office reminded that a total of 14 members of the separatist regime have been brought to justice under various articles of the Criminal Code as part of the criminal case, which is being investigated by a joint investigative group consisting of employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Military Prosecutor's Office, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other investigative bodies.
