The Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC conducted joint exercises at several airports operating in the country according to an agreed schedule.
The ministry told Report that exercises were held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, and airports in Ganja, Gabala, Fuzuli, and Nakhchivan. The purpose was to increase the effectiveness of fire safety measures at airports, enhance rapid response capabilities to emergencies, and strengthen coordination and mutual cooperation between airports and the ministry in rescue operations.
The exercises, organized by the Main Operations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, involved forces and resources from the State Fire Protection and Special Risk Rescue services, Baku, Ganja, Northwest, and Karabakh Regional centers of the ministry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as relevant structural units of AZAL.
During the exercises, tasks were successfully completed according to scenario simulations, and the set objectives were achieved.
