Prosecutor General: Some countries and their embassies take one-sided position regarding videos spread on social networks

Some countries and their embassies in Azerbaijan take a one-sided position regarding the videos circulating on social networks, and this is worrying, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev told the joint briefing of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the crimes committed against Azerbaijan by the Armenian armed forces and illegal Armenian armed groups from 1988 to the present day.

According to him, interference in the process indicates double standards:

"There was no war on the territory of Armenia, and the population did not suffer. Videos should be investigated, and the outcome should be accurately reported."

The Prosecutor General said that the footage related to the facts of torture by both Azerbaijani and Armenian soldiers should be investigated and accurate information should be provided:

"Armenia did not even publish an official statement about the videos. Azerbaijan immediately investigated the issue. We are also aware of the latest videos, the investigation is underway. Some of the videos are fake. An investigation group has already been formed together with the relevant institutions, and the results will be available. The Azerbaijani government cannot be exerted pressure through premature panic. Armenia should also issue a statement in this regard."
