Traditional landmines are most common in the liberated lands, Suleyman Heydarov, the head of the department of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan (MES), told Report.
He said that during the search, both anti-personnel and anti-tank mines are found: “Most of the landmines planted by the enemy are of the traditional types used in the post-Soviet space. The Armenians tried to install as many mines as possible. While they reduced the weight of the explosive, they increased the number of landmines. This is a cunning plan, designed for even greater losses."
