Trial of murderer of Azerbaijani MMA fighter held in Germany

The person suspected of murdering 38-year-old Azerbaijani athlete Vugar Bakhshiyev was brought before the judge in Frankfurt, Germany, Report's European Bureau informs, citing the Frankfurt city court.

A preventive detention act was adopted for the 40-year-old resident of Frankfurt, a suspect in the case.

The Frankfurt police said the investigation team completed its work at the scene yesterday. Material evidence related to the criminal incident was submitted to the investigation.

The police are currently working to find the witnesses of the incident and interrogate them. Surveillance cameras of the surrounding gas station, newspaper stand, and store have already been obtained.

38-year-old Vugar Bakhshiyev was the champion of the Integra Fighting Championship.
