The Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Azerbaijan, Azer Aliyev, and the Director for International Relations, Anar Baghirov, are participating in the 27th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) in Cascais, Portugal.
According to Report, the event was also attended by International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach, ANOC President Robin Mitchell, and official representatives of the IOC and ANOC.
The Olympic Games Organizing Committee presented reports on Paris 2024 and the upcoming 34th Summer Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.
The assembly's agenda for the following days includes reports from the Association of National Olympic Committees, the International World Games Association, the Court of Arbitration for Sport, as well as reports from the Olympic Games Organizing Committee about the 25th Winter Olympic Games to be held in Milano-Cortina (Italy) in 2026, and the IV Youth Olympic Games to be held in Dakar, Senegal.
Discussions are also planned regarding innovations in the IOC Executive Board, improving relations with NOCs, ANOC's new strategic plan, decisions of the 27th General Assembly, the next 28th General Assembly, the Emerging Olympic Program, NOC sustainability, effective strategies for safe sport, the Olympic AI agenda, and the future of AI for NOCs.
The 27th ANOC General Assembly will conclude on November 1.
