Film about Azerbaijani cyclist presented in Baku

A film has been made about a member of the Azerbaijani road cycling team Elchin Asadov, Report informs.

The film, written by Zahra Guliyeva and directed by Aslan Garayev, was screened at the Youth House in Bakikhanov settlement in Baku's suburbs.

Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov made a speech before the demonstration of the film.

"I am glad that films about athletes have been made lately. Elchin Asadov has achieved impressive results in Azerbaijani cycling," he said.

The event continued with the screening of the film "Accomplishments - Elchin Asadov." In the film, Elchin Asadov tells his life story, about his family, about the time when he was a displaced person, and worked as a bus conductor and assistant in a car workshop. Asadov stressed that he got married in Ukraine in 2006, had a bicycle accident in 2008, but after returning, he became the champion of Azerbaijan.
