"Azerbaijani athletes participating in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics will be involved in the vaccination process, said Vice-president of Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade, Report informs.
The athletes who are not infected with the coronavirus will be involved in the vaccination: "Athletes who contracted COVID-19 and develop antibodies do not need to be vaccinated."
In his last speech, IOC president Thomas Bach said that the athletes would settle at the athletes' village. More than 80 percent of athletes participating in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics will be vaccinated against the coronavirus before traveling to Japan.
The Tokyo Summer Olympics was scheduled for July 24-August 9, 2020. The games have been postponed from July 23 to August 8 this year due to a coronavirus pandemic.
