Aghyokhush deposit to be commissioned by 2022 - EXCLUSIVE

Production works in Aghyokhush 1 gold deposit, which started in November 2020, continue successfully, Report informs, citing AzerGold CJSC.
According to the information, along with the Chovdar gold deposit, Aghyokhush 1 is the second gold deposit exploited by AzerGold.

Despite the fact that "Aghyokhush" is considered a relatively small deposit, its location near the operating Chovdar Ore Processing Area creates favorable conditions to conduct extraction work without creating any additional infrastructure and involving capital investments.

Aghyokhush project will consist of three operation phases (“Aghyokhush 1”, “Aghyokhush 2”, and “Aghyokhush 3”), which will be implemented within Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area. By the end of 2022, along with three operation phases of Aghyokhush deposit, sulfide ores of Chovdar deposit, and ores from other adjacent deposits- Marah, Tulallar, Narchala will also be processed at this Area” Ibrahimov said.

In 2020 drilling operations were carried out in Aghyokhush 2 and Aghyokhush 3 areas to find new resources. The samples obtained from the drilling works have been sent to the laboratory, and the results are positive.

The resource potential of Aghyokhush is estimated at 40,000 ounces of gold. Technically extractable volume is 18,944 ounces of gold.
