In the short term, there are plans to invest 20-25 million manats in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam Industrial Park. In the medium and long term, the volume of investments is estimated at 100 million manats, said Elshad Nuriyev, acting chairman of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones, Report informs.
He said that a total of five potential projects in the industrial park are being analyzed for the production of various types of synthetic carpets, uniforms, special and individual clothing, polymer products, light poles and special solar-powered roofing, precast concrete products.
Nuriyev noted that within these projects it is planned to open more than 1,100 new jobs: “Now business plans are being considered, and after granting the status of a resident, entrepreneurs will be able to start working.”
“After the liberation of Aghdam, the city’s first electricity and water supply systems was installed on the territory of the Aghdam industrial park. Eight container-type dormitories (for 40 people), a first-aid post, two offices, grocery and hardware stores, pharmacy, canteen, laundry, sports ground and two WCs have been built. The town is surrounded by a fence 480 meters long. An asphalt road is laid to the town, a small park is laid out and landscaping works are completed. The lighting of the industrial park is powered by solar panels. For convenience, gazebos were built. ATM of Kapital Bank has been installed in the park, and it is planned to install payment terminals in the coming days,” he said.
