Industrial production in Azerbaijan grows

From January through July this year, Azerbaijan manufactured industrial products worth 27.5 billion manats, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

This is 1.1 percent more than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, production in the oil and gas sector decreased by 1.6 percent, while in the non-oil and gas sector, it grew by 16.4 percent.

62.7 percent of industrial products was in mining sector, 31.3 percent in processing sector, 5.1 percent in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, 0.9 percent in the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector.

Production of commercial oil in the mining sector decreased by 2.3 percent, while commercial gas production increased by 11.1 percent.

In the production sector, the distribution and supply of electricity, gas, and steam output increased by 2.6 percent, and in the water supply industry, waste treatment and recycling grew by 10.7 percent.
