ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways, has started transporting new types of cargo in export mode, LLC told Report.
Several innovations have been introduced in the implementation of the next project to increase Azerbaijan's export potential. The changes apply to both the type of cargo and the chosen route.
This time, ADY Express transported polypropylene goods produced by SOCAR POLYMER LLC to Kazakhstan. Unlike previous shipments, the route passed not through the Caspian Sea, but via Russia. Thus, the covered wagons provided by ADY Express were loaded at Sumgayit station and delivered by rail to Almaty and Kokshetau, Kazakhstan. Speed and single mode of transport were the main advantages of the new route.
The first batch of cargo transported in test mode was delivered to the destination. The successful transport process has ensured that the project will be sustainable.
