Albayrak to invest in construction of fertilizer terminal at Baku Port

According to an agreement reached between Baku International Sea Trade Port JSC and Turkiye's Albayrak Group, the parties will cooperate closely in the field of construction and management of the fertilizer terminal in the area of Baku Port, Report informs.

In recent years, the rapid increase in the volume of fertilizer products transported from Central Asia to Europe through the port has attracted the attention of the Turkish holding.

Although the volume of fertilizers transported through the port last year alone was 66% more than 2020 - close to 1.1 million tons, the existing potential is reported to be much higher than the achieved result. The construction of a new fertilizer terminal with an annual handling capacity of 2.5 million tons and fertilizer warehouses with a capacity of 60,000 tons has been underway in Baku Port since last year.
