Azerbaijan preparing draft law on consultations in agricultural sector

The project “Strengthening Agricultural Advisory Services”, funded by the EU and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), is supporting the creation of a legislative framework in this area and the preparation of a core bill, Report informs, referring to FAO.

The new legislative mechanism will create the basis for the implementation of a new model of advisory services in the agricultural sector.

The project specialists joined the working group on the preparation of the draft law ‘On agricultural advisory services.’

The project “Strengthening Agricultural Advisory Services” provides for the development of a five-year strategy and testing of the model proposed in two regions of Azerbaijan - Ganja-Gazakh and Guba-Khachmaz.
