Azerbaijan Railways' revenues from cargo, passenger transportation revealed

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) revenues from freight and passenger transportation in January-September 2024 amounted to 323.372 million manats ($190.218 million), which is 2.7% lower than in the first nine months of last year, the State Statistics Committee told Report.

In the revenue structure, freight transportation accounted for 315.237 million manats ($185.433 million, 3.3% decrease), including 274.963 million manats ($161.742 million) for international routes (2% decrease) and 40.274 million manats ($23.690 million) for domestic routes (10.9% decrease).

In the structure of international freight transportation revenues, transit transportation accounted for 133.27 million manats ($78.394 million, 2.1% increase).

Revenues from passenger transportation on Azerbaijan's railways during the reporting period amounted to 8.135 million manats ($4.785 million, 22.5% increase), with all of this volume coming from domestic transportation.

In January-September 2024, freight transportation on Azerbaijan's railways amounted to 13.941 million tons (1.7% increase), passenger transportation – 5.987 million people (21.8% increase). During the reporting period, the volume of transit freight transportation amounted to 5.653 million tons (6.5% increase).
